Allowed and Denied Lists
Allowed and Denied Lists are used
to restrict dialing of long-distance
and international numbers. A number
is blocked if its prefix matches
any entry in the Denied Lists. On
the other hand, a number is allowed
to go through if it matches with
any entry in the Allowed List. This
provides flexibility of allowing
only specific numbers while blocking
all others.
Analog Input Port (AIP)
Simado GFX888 provides an analog
port where an external music source
can be connected. The desired music
or jingle can be played to the caller
kept on hold.
Analog Output Port (AOP)
Simado GFX888 provides an analog
port where external amplifiers and
speaker can be connected. Callers
can dial in and make announcements.
Automatic Call Distribution
Simado GFX888 offers different schemes
to select the destination port for
an incoming call. They are: First
Free, Round Robin, and Least Cost.
Automatic Number Translation
Simado GFX888 modifies the incoming
number or part thereof so that it
matches with the numbering plan
of the destination network. For
example, GSM networks require dialing
of complete numbers including the
area codes. If a caller has dialed
just the local number, Simado GFX888
adds the area code as the appropriate
prefix.
Call Detail Recording (CDR)
The Simado GFX888 stores up to 200
calls made through the gateway in
its internal memory. Reports can
be generated on the COMM port using
filters like Port, Number, Date,
Duration, etc.
Call Duration Control (CDC)
Duration of each call made through
Simado GFX888 can be controlled.
When the duration of a call exceeds
the set time limit, the call is
forcefully disconnected. Different
time limits can be set on each port.
This feature can also be used to
release ports that are left open
accidentally.
Call Progress Tones and
Rings
Simado GFX888 provides programmable
Call Progress Tones like Dial Tone,
Ring Back Tone and Busy Tone, etc.
These tones can be selected to match
with the tones of the country standard
where it is installed. Similarly,
Ring cadences can also be selected.
Calling Party Control (CPC)
Simado GFX888 can send Calling Party
Control call release signal on its
FXS ports. This signal is then sensed
by PBX or other equipment to release
the ports when a call is terminated
by the party on the GSM side of
the network. This prevents blocking
of ports.
Caller Line Identification
Presentation (CLIP)
Matrix Simado GFX888 supports CLIP
on FXS, FXO and GSM ports. A port
can be programmed to receive or
send CLIP using any of the protocols
like DTMF, FSK ITU-T and FSK Bellcore.
Compact and Sturdy
Simado GFX888 is an all-integrated
gateway equipment. The 19”
rack type design is easy to maintain
and occupies less space. It can
be installed on a wall or a table
surface.
Day Light Saving
The Real Time Clock (RTC) of the
Simado moves forward or backward
automatically in tune with the Day
Light Saving requirements of the
country where it is installed.
Digital Input Port (DIP)
A switch or a sensor like smoke
detector can be connected to the
Digital Input Port (DIP) of the
Simado GFX888. When this sensor
is activated, it dials out a pre-programmed
number and delivers a voice message
to the called person. This is a
useful security feature.
Digital Output Port (DOP)
An equipment can be switched on
and off from any remote place by
connecting it to the Digital Output
Port (DOP) of the Simado GFX888.
The user can call in on any port
and then dial the appropriate command
to control the equipment.
Fixed Number Dialing
A preconfigured number can be dialed
out as soon as a call lands on a
port. This allows point-to-point
connectivity without having to dial
the same number repeatedly.
International Mobile Equipment
Identity (IMEI)
International Mobile Equipment Identity
(IMEI) number provided on Simado
GFX888 GSM engine, is a unique 15-digit
code to identify an individual GSM
port. This number can be used to
associate the GSM port with a particular
GSM network.
Jeeves
Jeeves is a Windows based GUI software
tool for programming the Simado
GFX888. It is intuitive, user friendly
and supports many languages like
English, French, Spanish, German,
Russian, Portuguese, Italian and
Russian.
Least Cost Routing (LCR)
The Matrix Simado GFX888 selects
a port that is offering the least
cost for an outgoing call. It supports
various LCR algorithms based on
Number, Time and combination of
these. Port-wise LCR logic not only
differentiates between GSM and FXO
ports, but also selects the most
cost-effective among GSM ports.
Thus, each call can be routed on
the most economical route
LED Indications
A dual-color LED is provided for
each FXS and FXO port. They indicate
the current status of calls on these
ports. There are two LEDs for each
GSM port one for NETWORK and the
other for call status.
Network Selection
Each GSM port can be programmed
to work only with a few selected
networks, thereby preventing a GSM
port from registering with an overlapping
but costly network. This flexibility
is very useful when Simado GFX888
is installed near a state or a national
border.
PCM-TDM Platform
Simado GFX888 uses digital switching
platform based on PCM-TDM concepts.
This architecture provides better
speech quality and higher noise
immunity.
Port Status
Simado GFX888 continuously monitors
the availability of all the ports.
If a port is not available for any
reason, Simado GFX888 routes the
call on to the next best-fit port.
Power Fail Transfer
In case of power failure, Simado
GFX888 connects the FXS ports with
the FXO ports, so that users can
make and receive calls, without
being cut-off.
Remote Programming
The configuration of the Simado
GFX888 can be changed from any part
of the world. The system engineer
can log-in on any of the ports and
enter the programming mode with
a password.
Returned Calls to Original
Caller (RCOC)
Matrix Simado GFX888 maintains records
of all unsuccessful calls on the
GSM network due to No Answer and
similar such conditions. In the
event of such a call being returned,
Simado GFX888 routes the call to
the original caller.
SIM PIN
Simado GFX888 allows the user to
program a 4-digit PIN number (Personal
Identification Number) to protect
the SIM against unauthorized use.
The user has to enter PIN for making
any operations. The user can change
the SIM PIN as and when required.
The SIM gets blocked if the wrong
PIN is entered thrice.
Speech Gain
Simado GFX888 allows the user to
set Receive and Transmit gains of
GSM port to improve the quality
of speech.
SMPS
Simado GFX888 comes with built-in,
universal-input SMPS making it all-integrated
enterprise-grade telecom equipment.
It operates from 90-265V @ 47-63Hz
and thus eliminates the external
adaptor.
Time Zones
Call routing can adapt to the different
routing needs during day time, lunch
time and night hours. Four different
time zones can be programmed and
each port can be programmed to behave
differently in each time zone.
Universal Routing
A call received on a GSM port can
be routed on FXS, FXO or even another
GSM port. Similarly, a call received
on any FXO port can be routed on
an FXS, GSM or even another FXO
port.
Voice Message Prompts
Callers can be greeted and guided
with pre-recorded voice prompts.
A voice prompt can be of 16 seconds
and such 16 different prompts can
be recorded. These prompts can be
used for call progress tones, guidance
menu and during programming. |
