Simado GDT11

Introduction

Matrix Simado GDT11 is a Fixed Cellular Terminal (FCT) for data applications. It is a compact and portable terminal that can satisfy various data communication needs over GSM. It can be connected to a computer with the help of a standard RS232C serial port.

The Simado GDT11 offers features like Short Message Services (SMS), Data Services (sending and receiving data files), Fax Services and Web Browsing. Remote login and data file transfer are also supported. It is the perfect equipment for factory plants, resorts, dams and construction sites where wired connectivity is not available or not practical.

The ready-to-use Simado GDT11 can be setup with minimal efforts. It finds its applications in IT companies, Banks and Financial Institutions, Logistic Companies, Service Providers, Remote Project Sites, Professionals, and such other business establishments.

GPRS Application

Where traditional internet services are not available, GSM network can be used for browsing the internet by using Simado GDT11. Internet connection can be established in no time by connecting computer with COM (RS232C) port provided on Simado GDT11. User can surf the internet seamlessly like leased line, if GPRS services is activated from GSM service provider.

Fax Application

Matrix Simado GDT11 finds its application in transmitting and receiving the FAX on computer. Using FAX software utilities like WinFax or MightyFax, user can send or receive the FAX messages on his computer connected to COM (RS232C) port of Simado GDT11.

Matrix Simado GDT11 can be deployed for online data acquisition, SCADA, Remote login, monitoring and controlling devices. Remotely working devices’ data like level, temperature, pressure, flow, density etc. can be captured in real time using Simado GDT11.

Fax Transmission (PC Fax)

The user can transmit and receive fax through Simado GDT11. This helps in sending and receiving fax messages from a computer using fax software like WinFax, Mighty Fax, etc. For this function to work, a separate subscription is required from the GSM service provider who assigns a different number on the same SIM card.

General Packet Radio Services (GPRS)

The GSM engine used in the Simado GDT11 is GPRS Class 10 enabled. It supports Internet browsing and email send-receive using this data packet service provided by the GSM network. When connected with a proxy server, the Simado GDT11 allows multiple people to browse the Internet simultaneously by sharing the bandwidth available. For this function to work, a separate subscription is required from the GSM service provider who assigns a different number on the same SIM card.

Data Communication

The Matrix Simado GDT11 can also be used for data communication between two computers. Remote login and file transfer are two of the many possible applications.

Short Message Services (SMS)

SMS usage is very widespread all over the world. The Simado GDT11 can be used as SMS node for individual SMS send and receive requirements. It can also be connected with the enterprise SMS Server for sending and receiving bulk SMS. The Simado GDT11 can work with existing SMS application software running on a PC.

AT Commands Interface The Simado GDT11 offers access to all the standard AT commands provided by its internal GSM engine. This facilitates various novel and customized applications to be built.
